The silence that weighs down

Cross-section of a room—my apartment, not made up. Mattress on the windowsill: real, last winter. I covered my ears on the paper because it was the only gesture I knew how to make. Two neighbors said, "This is my place." I didn't add any text; the date is enough.

When silence weighs heavily

Maksym drew without speaking for forty minutes. The group was in silent tears. Gentle validation.
